Reservation Policy and Terms of Trade for Westervelt Lodge in Alabama
Terms of Trade
These terms of trade apply to all dealings between Westervelt Lodge and its customers. A customer enters into a contract and is bound by these terms of trade on placing a reservation or “booking”.
Individual Reservation Confirmation
To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to be paid by the customer. Payment of the deposit is confirmation of acceptance of these terms and conditions by the customer. Westervelt Lodge is under no obligation to place or maintain that booking until the deposit has been paid.
The balance of your trip is due at least 60 days prior to the scheduled date for arrival at Westervelt Lodge. Credit card on file will be charged if other arrangements have not been made. Incidental expenses can be taken care of at the end of the customer’s use of Westervelt Lodge and its facilities with cash, check, or credit card.
Cancellation of Individual Reservation
If a booking is cancelled at the customer’s request, the deposit will be held for that customer during the remainder of that season for an opportunity to re-book at the then prevailing rate.
Cancellation by Westervelt Lodge for individual, group or hosted booking
If a booking is cancelled by Westervelt Lodge (through no fault of the customer), then Westervelt Lodge will use its best efforts to advise the customer in advance and will refund any deposit and other monies paid to Westervelt Lodge by the customer. Westervelt Lodge is only liable to refund the deposit and other monies paid to it by the customer and accepts no liability nor is it responsible for paying for any other costs, expenses or losses suffered or incurred by the customer or any other person by reason of Westervelt Lodge canceling the booking, whether such costs, expenses or losses are directly or indirectly related to such cancellation. By way of example but not limitation, customer costs for airfares, insurance, or other accommodation will not be met by Westervelt Lodge.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend full travel insurance, including trip cancellation and interruption, baggage protection, medical expenses, accidental death and dismemberment, emergency evacuation and repatriation, and emergency assistance service.
There are a number of reputable vacation insurance companies and we have also enclosed a brochure for Travel Guard travel insurance in your booking packet.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama Customer and Westervelt hereby agree that any claim arising out of these terms and conditions shall be enforced in any state or federal court located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. For the purpose of any action or proceeding instituted with respect to any such claim, customer and Westervelt hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of such courts.
Public Relations
Customer allows Westervelt Lodge to use their name, picture, and a brief description of customer’s experience with Westervelt Lodge in marketing and public relations’ materials such as press releases, advertising, printed collateral, and/or Web site copy.
